Shirley is an experienced Sports and Exercise Science Asia Presenter. She has 30 years’ experience in Aerobic teaching, 18 years in Personal Training, and 22 years in Fitness course lecturing.
At present, she is a workshop presenter and Facilitator/ Fitness Coach for Ministry Medical Group for Corporate Wellness Programme. She is also a Personal Trainer in SAFRA (Singapore Armed Forces Reservist Association).
She is also Head of Fitness Programs with Health & Fitness Training Network Pte Ltd, and has lectures in Malaysia, Beijing Sport University, Chengdu Sport University Physical Education, Hangzhou Sport University, Wuhan Sport University, Guangzhou Sport University, Wuxi, Zhengzhou, Chongqing, Wuhan for Train-the-Trainers Certification.
Certification courses she is conducting are HFT Children and Youth Fitness, HFT Personal Trainer Enhancement Course, HFT Group Fitness Instructors, HFT Pre and Postnatal, HFT Seniors Population, Workplace Health and Fitness Course.
Shirley develops, conducts and evaluates health related training programmes. Her role is to develop Health and Wellness Programmes in accordance with the needs of each organization. Programmes she has developed include Chronic Disease Preventions and Exercise, Stretching to Relieve Tension, Solution to Neck and Backaches, Workplace Health, Office / Worksite Ergonomics, Running Clinics, Sports Nutrition and Applying Sports Psychology to Health Promotion.
She is also involved in group exercise teaching such as freestyle aerobic, hip hop, Latin fitness, chair yoga, stretch conditioning, outdoor fitness, outdoor running clinic, BodyPump, BodyJam, BodyCombat, POUND, FlexiBar, TRX, HIIT, and so on.
SUN BOK
Diploma in Exercise and Sports Science
Loving sports from outdoors to indoors led me to be an aerobics instructor from 1994. I enjoy interacting with different level and age groups people as it keeps my eyes open and make me stay up front.
I enjoy teaching from high to low impact aerobics, step reebok, kickboxing, dance class, trampoline, as well as pre-choreography routine program like Bootyybarre, Zumba, Poundfit and Les Mills series programs etc.
Specializing in personal training allows me to customize exercises for a wide range of lifestyle, health and body types.
Recurring injuries sustained in the course of my work as a group exercise instructor led me to study and practice Pilates, which has proven to be an indispensable tool in healing my body and preventing additional injury.
Passion for teaching Pilates is also driven by the improvement my clients see in their own bodies; improvement in body awareness to maintain correct posture, increasing core strength and stability, improving breathing technique, refining athletic performance by moving with control and precision, and decreasing or eliminating pain.
